But please be aware that my comments policy is also applicable to email so trolls needn’t bother writing nor should anyone with a pro-diet agenda. I am more than familiar with tracking the origins of particular emails and I will not hesitate to contact the ISP of anyone engaging in harassment, abuse, threat or hate speech of an kind.  ISPs tend not to like it when their customers use their service to be arseholes. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

  1. So you’ve deleted my question about why you cannot leave the tedious classism out of this. On the one hand you claim that fatness is not necessarily unhealthy, on the other, you change to obesity, a word you know to be disparaging when talking about fat people who are poor.
Apparently, being poor means you are no longer fat, but diseased.

If you can justify this, I will personally congratulate you for that, because I frankly don’t see how.
I am myself poor, I have been thus far in my life, I have always lived amongst mainly poor people, I have also lived near a thriving market for decades, used by mainly poor people, yes they buy the fresh veg and fruit day after day, yet still die earlier than those eating expensive rich food, day after. Call me cynical, but I suspect that mortality is not mainly about food.
The point is that most of you fat bloggers are middle class, fine, most of you are fatter than most of the people I’ve known fine, but that doesn’t accord with the constant dictum that the poorest are the fattest or vice versa. Maybe more people are in the ‘obese’ category, but the is no conclusive evidence that I’ve heard of that fat is a class issue in terms of pure weight, your repeated assertion of this- and I mean that as a collective noun, are at odds with your desire to have a rational and balanced debate on fatness.
Turning fat into a pity party, by using the poor in this way, contradicts what seems to be your views on fat people being just like thin people, varied. Poor fat people are no more worthy of sympathy or health interventions than poor thin people, take a look at their health profile for once, and stop condescendingly assuming that poor fat people are fat because they eat more junk food than the fat MC such as yourself.
This is not about you, it’a about views which you expressed that are unsavoury, don’t try to kid on that I am a troll. I wrote to you not to upset you, but because I was annoyed by what you said and you seemed robust and intelligent enough to think about what I said. If I was wrong on that, then forget about it.
